On May 6, 2025, we released maintenance versions of MariaDB Community Server: 11.4.6 and 10.11.12. Thanks to the swift feedback from our valued community, we’ve identified performance issues in these releases that are affecting some users. We deeply appreciate your reports, which are critical to helping us maintain MariaDB’s quality and reliability.
What We’ve Learned
We’ve confirmed that some users are experiencing performance challenges with the recent releases, including slower query execution and increased contention in certain operations. These issues are impacting a range of workloads, and we’re working diligently to fully understand their scope.
What You Should Do
Our team is actively investigating these regressions and is developing a fix, which we aim to release as soon as possible. In the meantime, if you are on one of these affected versions, we recommend reverting to MariaDB Community Server 11.4.5 or MariaDB Community Server 10.11.11, which are stable and unaffected by these issues. You can download these versions from our official MariaDB downloads page. If you need assistance with the rollback process, our community forums are a great place to connect with others or seek guidance.

For users running mission-critical applications where consistent performance and uptime are essential, MariaDB Enterprise Server, the centerstone of MariaDB Enterprise Platform, offers a production-grade alternative. It undergoes rigorous testing, extended QA, and security hardening to ensure reliability. Key benefits include:
- Comprehensive testing to catch issues before they reach production
- Long-term support with timely patches and expert assistance
